CIA's Harsh Interrogation Techniques Described
This article goes into detail about the harsh interrogation techniques found in prisons such as Guantanamo Bay and other terrorist prisons. Some of the techniques described include: The Attention Grab: The interrogator forcefully grabs the shirt front of the prisoner and shakes him, Attention Slap: An open-handed slap aimed at causing pain and triggering fear, The Belly Slap: A hard open-handed slap to the stomach. The aim is to cause pain, but not internal injury. Doctors consulted advised against using a punch, which could cause lasting internal damage, Long Time Standing: This technique is described as among the most effective. Prisoners are forced to stand, handcuffed and with their feet shackled to an eye bolt in the floor for more than 40 hours. Exhaustion and sleep deprivation are effective in yielding confessions, The Cold Cell: The prisoner is left to stand naked in a cell kept near 50 degrees. Throughout the time in the cell the prisoner is doused with cold water., Water Boarding: The prisoner is bound to an inclined board, feet raised and head slightly below the feet. Cellophane is wrapped over the prisoner's face and water is poured over him.

Mountain Climbing Safety
Mountain climbing safety is about knowledge. Before one decides to climb a mountain they should first have knowledge about a. the mountain b. weather conditions c. your equipment and d. your physical abilities. When choosing a mountain know the routes that will most easily get you to the top. Check the weather before climbing and make sure weather conditions are optimal. Also your equipment should be inspected to make sure it is functioning properly. You should also let someone know when and where you plan on climbing. And lastly stay alert and have a safety plan.

Obama orders Guantanamo closure:
This article states that Obama has ordered the closure of Guantanamo Bay. It is stated that it is suspected to be closed down in about a year from now. It is currently undecided where the prisoners with will be tried and or released once Guantanamo Bay closes. Obama has also ordered that threats, coercion, physical abuse and waterboarding to be banned as of now. Along with this other CIA "black Cite" prisons have been ordered to shut down. However, the time frame of when this will take place is unclear.
